Visited St Paul de Vence on Friday and decided to overnight here as we had an early exit from Antibes. What a nightmare to have to drive there! The road signs are so misleading and confusing it took ages to get there and find the hotel and then we had an afternoon wandering around and were too late for lunch but too early for dinner so we missed out altogether and bought a bottle of wine and some cheese and sat at the hotel and chatted.

Another lovely place but totally over-run by tourists (I guess I shouldn't complain) and we left a little disappointed as it was somewhere I have longed to visit for so many years but it failed to hit the spot.
