We both got a reasonable amount of sleep on the overnight bus but it was pretty uncomfy as it was one of the older coaches.

We begun to realise that we were getting closer to the city and then i was look out the window and saw the Sydney Harbour Bridge!! We drove towards it and as we went over it into the city Nick pointed out the Opera House! We couldn't believe it - we got that feeling like when we first saw manhatten whilst in the taxi from the airport - can't believe we are finally here!!

We got dropped off at central station and with all our bags figured the best way to find our apartment that we have hired was to get a taxi. We hailed one down and made our way to Bondi.

We have hired an apartment. The girl, Anji, is an air hostess for Qantas so is away alot so hires out the 2nd bedroom in her apartment - it is just by Bondi Beach which is ideal for us. When we arrived at the flats we made our way up to the 5th floor when Nick realised he had lost his wallet, he'd had it in the taxi but it must have fallen out of his pocket or maybe he dropped it when getting out!! He ran back down but the taxi had gone and had a really good look around but it was nowhere to be found in the street so must be in the taxi!

We found the apartment and had a rather mad introduction with Anji as we were panicking about the wallet - it had all our cards in so had no access to money!! Anji was great though, she took control of the situation, phoning the taxi company who were useless so told us the best thing to do was to use her phone to call up and cancel our cards asap! I rung Nationwide and Barclaycard and got the cards stopped luckily it was only those two along with some cash and our student travel cards - so not too much lost.

After calming down and proper introductions with Anji she showed us around the flat - it is gorgeous with magnificent views of the beach and ocean. We have huge wardrobes in our room so unpacked before taking a walk down to Bondi Rd to get some food for dinner - we luckily had some cash that had been in Nick's short pocket.

We were both really tired so had a night in, watched some films. Anji has been great and said we can just pay her rent once we have our new bank cards - she has our deposit so is happy to wait.

What a day!!
