With some January sales already started and all others beginning today we got a bus to Bondi Junction and walked around the malls and shops. Nick has wanted a pair of Quicksilver board shorts so we went around each of the surf shops to see if they had the pairs he's been looking at in the sale. In one of the surf shops I found a beautiful, 100% leather purse. I got some money for Christmas so I treated myself to the purse and the rest will be put towards the trip, maybe go for a nice meal or something like that.

There are loads of shops along Bondi Parade too so we decided to look there before Nick bought a pair of shorts. Bondi seafront is two more stops from where we'd get off to go back to the apartment so we got the bus straight there.

After an ice cream we continued shopping the January sales! Typically the shorts Nick wanted weren't in any of the sales but we found a surf shop that were doing a boxing day special of 10% off everything if not reduced further so he was able to get the pair he wanted with money off afterall which was a bonus.

When we were watching the evening news they were saying how an off duty life guard was surfing at Bondi before his shift and spotted a great white shark, they say it was following fish into the bay! They had to get everyone out of the water until the helicopters had flown over checking the area to make sure it had swam out again!! Very scary, we were only in that sea yesterday!! Gulp!
