Followed Gill the stoma therapist today. was quite interesting. everyone is very nice n interested about wat an english student is doing over here. was v greedy 2day becuz i had 2 croissants with ham and cheese toasted. in my defense, i need feeding up and theyre really little. much smaller than the ones at home. went over to the mercy campus cuz gill was giving a talk 2 about 7 ppl on skin tears. they looked 2 me a lot like pressure sores. was a bit awkward wen i sat on in her discussion with a patient who is going to have an ileostomy (like a colostomy but its the small bowel instead of the large one) she was quite young and got a bit upset. she took it quite well tho. Then watched some sort of surgery, i think the colostomy failed or somethin. and the surgeon put foam in the wound. not sure how 2 describe it. it was dark gray and sort of like the stuff u pack delicate things in so they dont break. didnt look the type of stuff u put in a wound. there was this fat lady i saw several times in the day, each time eating in a different cafe or staff room. throughout the day she just seemed to transfer herself between food places and eat. bak 2 normal 2moro chasin alan around.
