Sarah's Australia Trip
i have now done 2 shifts at the hospital. my mentor is really nice, he bought me a cup of tea yday, and the other nurses ask how i am and one gave me her number cuz im on my own!
in england i have neva seen a nurse in a hospital do blood pressure manually, they always do it with a machine, but here they always do it manually, so its a good job i could do it before! only done 2 shifts but its already a habit 2 look 4 a stethoscope instead of a machine when im doin BP.
ive written down all the places i want 2 go and im gonna follow a few of the city itineraries in my travel guide. i think my mentor actually mentioned if he cud get a car he wud show me some sights that i couldnt see in the city.
hes a good mentor cuz he knows wat hes talkin about and he lets me do a lot of clinical stuff. i did injections and took out a NG tube on my first day. i dont know much about anatomy and physiology of GI and colorectal so i bought a book that looks really good
in england wud be a good 25 quid but this was 29.95 which i converted an it was 12 quid! so ill hav a read of that tonite.
