A great way to spend a few hours is cruising down the Mississippi River on the riverboat Natchez - New Orleans Jazz band playing, catfish, gumbo and bread pudding on the menu and visiting with Christopher. It was pretty warm and we were glad when the boat turned back and we were on the shady side of the trip. The guys working on the big cargo ships waved to the steamboat and posed for pictures. One of those experiences where you just enjoy the view and the company and nothing else matters. We walked quite a bit taking our time and wandering figuring out where to go as we went. I waited for Christopher to go to Bourbon street. It was a weekday and the night was beginning so not as crazy as it had been. We walked from one end to the other. Hearing live music played in so many venues in such a short space was great but I have to say I believe this one is checked off my list and probably no need for follow up. Dinner was at a quiet place called Port of Call and one last walk back to Green Inn.
