My first nights in New Orleans were spent downtown a block off of Canal street. My next stay was The Green Inn in the Garden District. My room had a separate entrance leading to a small garden area. The grounds were lush creating a very secluded private environment in a fairly busy area which is probably why the pool area was designated clothing optional - European style. My first thought was I bet I could scare some folks right out of the area. I am not sure how I missed that when making the reservations. The first night I was by myself and could have gone for a swim but did not. The next night I asked Christopher whether the "European" option was in action. He said he did not know as there were two old guys in the spa. The spa was separate and situated above the pool. I had no interest in the spa on a hot New Orleans night so I went in the pool - non European style which was clearly best for everyone. The pool was cool which was perfect after a day spent outside in the humidity. I do believe the old guys were tuning with nature because one got out (worse fear) - just let me get my swim in with no unnecessary viewing, with a towel wrapped around him in a goofy, non guy, kind of way and since he was not a slim Jim it barely fit. Mission accomplished - cooled off - I hit the road.
