wish I could tell you we were out exploring but I can assure you, its 3pm and we are definitely inside! Brett is snoring and I am lounging in the hotel robe as we siesta in the hottest part of the day.
Yesterday at this time we had just got on the hopon hopoff bus. Yes after almost 14 hours asleep we felt compelled to get outside. Unfortunately it is about 34 deg at the moment and the bus is ruthlessly hot and terribly slow as it shares the road with so many others, literally thousands of vehicles and all blocking the major intersections and public areas of interest. Absolutely no "people only areas". Having said that, the city is amazing! So many people and so many monumental buildings, I had no idea. Not as well groomed as Paris, too hot to be London, but everyone friendly and italian restaurants everywhere!! We have walked lots too, seeing Castel St Angelo, the Pantheon (for lunch today) Trevi fountain ( and thrown Shanes coin in), the Colosseum and many more.
Tomorrow we actually go inside St Peters basilica, the Sistine Chapel and Raphaels rooms. Shortly when the day cools, we will head to the station Termini to do some shopping! Yes, in the railway station.
Catchya soon XX

Richard Great story M. One that we can relate to-precisely. BTDT. T is in his special place in the flower garden. Anita shed a tear too.
shane morris-cootes Ciao Bella- here's me fretting that you'd run off with my dollar coin, never to be seen again- and now that I hear it is safely in the bottom of the Fontana di Trevi I can sleep easy. My vicarious experince is brought to life !! Enjoy the chaos, food, beautiful historic architecture and everything that crazy Roma has to offer. Bachi - Shane.
