So......Varkala is empty and to have shade it cost money, so after searching for cheap deals at swimming pools we had a chat with the man at Juice Shack, megs favourite place! And he says he can get us an early ticket to goa.....me thinks yes please. As we failed at getting one that morning, so off I went on the back of this mans scooter with him.....he was very large so was a bit squashy!! But we did it, sucessful trip to the station and we are now headed to palolem tomorrow morning, yeah baby! So last night in varkala we decide to chillax, hen shock horror thr rains begin, ts raining it looting and man it's amazng. Cools the whole place down, no more shweating tonigt! Walk to our local in the rain, then back for some telly, ealry shirley start.
So took a posh White taxi to the station as there were no tuk Tuks so that was a treat! And so the journey began, 7.45 train to some place were we had to change for another one, ate some banana frys and we were ready for the 2 nd train, over night to goa! Got in at about 4am which is a vey annoyig time as we had to wait til 5.30am for the first local bus to get to palolem, but we finally made it to the beach and were greeted by tony himself who owns the hostel we stay in, so got put in a room and we slept!!
Ventured out to the beach later and said hello to our fwends in our favourite restauant and then we saw the israelite couple from allepey so ran and said hello to them an ended up chillng with them for the day and the night. We watched a film in thr evenig and the Roma (male Israelite) broke a glass, they were not impressed and said he hadto pay 150rs but they had gone, the man was pissed off!
In general we lay by the beach all day, well me in the shade, hang out with Ro
a and Sivan a lot as they are our new best friends, they are very funny and our age. So having a good chuckle with them, in the evenings we etch films at this restauant that now hates us and refuse to make eye contact....all very childish, but the food is good!
One evening we met this Australian girl who has 2 Indian friends travelling wth her (odd) and it was her birthday and she was so off her face, but she gave is cake and curry! She was sat on the beach wih 1 Indian, who it turns out has 'fun' sleeping with her, but she then decided to have a swim, he came running back as she had headed into the ocean and he couldn't swim, so a Aussie boy who was also at the table went to her rescue. Sat withthe Indian boys who are really nice guys, thy livein hampi which is where we head next, so talked a lot about that.
So now everynight we watch a film then head back to our place where the whole of our hostel migrates to and we sit around with some rum and a guitar an have a jolly good time! We are makig lots f fwends, the only trouble is that as we seethe host it means we have to wait for everyone to leave and at 2 am meg is trying to devise ways to get rid of everyone!!!
So having a great time in goa, our Israelites are great and we are now headed to hampi wih them tomorrow, so that is exciting! We had a little momen. With our hostel lady, as we let her borrow our porridge oats and when we came back she said she had lost them o they were stolen, she started fake crying.......I think it's quite obvious she pocketed the OATs herself, not cool!!! But we are friend again, or sisters as she refers to us! Sure sure!!
The australan girl came over to ours last night with her fun sleeper and they were both very intoxicted but it just made the while vening highly entertainig! I said I would teach mr hampi to swim, so that may be today's task, unless he feels too hungover.....most likely!! We are keepng out of the sun at present as meg has cried her nose off her face and generally the sun is too hon to sit in, but swimming is a must, it's so freaking sweaty!!
So yeah, leave for hampi tomorrow morrning ealry as always, and will be there for a few days then back here to palolem, which will be empty as everything is shuttg down....vey annoying! Especially as not all he present buying has happened and there are in fact no shops open! Fabulous!
So I apologise for the awefully spelling, it's very hard to use a itouch to type all this out, and generally doesn't work vey well! But t will do! So less hat 2 weeks till we return homeward, a very scary idea! Me....I would love to be returnig back to Nepal but that will just have to wait!
So yar...not sure when the net input shall be, maybe when we are on home soil!
Hampi it is for now......
