New Years Eve
With our separate trips to Melbourne and Jervis Bay done and dusted, The Magnificent Seven rode back into Sydney with tails of fish that got away (Daisy), snakes on the golf course( JC) and long lost cousins reunited (Marie). The Big One was approaching, New Years Eve on Sydney Harbour....
Probably the earliest start to any NYE kicked off with is us grabbing the 5pm Manly Ferry to Circular Quay right by the bridge. We'd booked a table at a restaurant called Wolfies Grill, and the mortgage we needed for the table was fully justified as we sat right across from the Opera House and under the bridge, awaiting probably the greatest firework show on earth...
And yes they were amazing. We'll let the pictures do most of the talking but both the kids firework show at 9pm and the main event were truly awesome. That bridge makes an amazing backdrop plus the boats all lit up look magical.
A Brazilian samba band in the restaurant even failed to wake Miss Alice up at 10.30 as we partied into the night with Alice tucked up angelically in a friends thoughtfully donated pushchair.....awwww
Happy New Year all, here's to a fab, fit and healthy 2012....
