An earlyish start today for an exciting trip to the area made famous by the aussie soap, Home & Away - Palm and Whale Beach on the North Shore.
It was quite an eventful journey:
1. Taxi to Manly Wharf
2. Manly Ferry to Sydney
3. Taxi to Rose Bay
4. Sea Plane to Palm Beach
5. Van ride to Jonah's.
The seaplane was just fantastic with just 5 of us on board with Captain Steve.
A 15 minute ride up the northern beaches and we were soon at Palm Beach, landing with very little splash but lots of squeals of joy. Palm Beach is the location for The Aussie soap, Home and Away, no sign of Alf though!
An amazing lunch at Jonah's restaurant and hotel ensued, a cracking surprise for MB courtesy of Alice and Mrs B. A lovely bonus was Alice meeting up with me of her schoolmates from last year who had recently emigrated, again, lots more giggling.
Leaving was painful although when your ride home is a seaplane, it's really not that bad. Captain Steve did a double figure of eight over Sydney Harbour for the birthday boy who was lucky enough to ride up front. Amazing views and pics! JC played it cool, Marie and Karen squealed, and unbelievably, Alice snoozed!
What a day, check out the snaps.....
