Australia! Now I can say for the first time in my life that I am Australia, and it feels wonderful! I survived both my long flights, the first without sleep, the second with a couple of hours, but it didn't spoil my day. I was around nine in my hostel, took a shower, organised a bag for the day and off I went.
There is so much to see and do and I had no idea where to go first. I ended up walking a shopping street, ending close to the Opera House and the bridge, At least I have seen those two things already. While taking pictures a chinese girl came over to me if someone could take pic with me... This guy thought I was beautiful... :O Strange guys those chinese. I haven't even mentionned yet their food in the airplane. There was rice or noodles for dinner, but for breakfast too! Only with dinner you got a desert wit it, and with breakfast they offered you a croissant with jam.
Anyway, when I was in the hot sun at the Opera House, I decided not to melt away in the botanical gardens, but to take the ferry to Manly, half an hour from the Circular quay which is in the center. Lovely ferry ride and the wind around the head made me feel even more that I was on holidays. Such a pity i weasn't in swimsuit today, so no dive in the sea today. Just walked in it and enjoyed the experience. I love this shopping street leading to the beach btw, so many shops with clothes, beachstuff, souvenirs and everythinng, it reminds me a bit of those islands in Holland. ;) At least I got my newyears cards there so I send them out tomorrow. :))
After this I took a walk for an hour before going back to the ferry. I went straight to another Ferry to Daring harbour as I was curious for that part and there I met a girl from Korea, so we took pics of eachother on the ferry. I am not showing mine here as I am not very satisfied, but fact is that ppl talk to you so fast. And they're so helpful. Like when I came in the morning, I looked on a map for the right street and there was a woman stopping next to me, asking if she could halp. Same with when I read a ferry timetable, another man stood right beside me, asking if he could help me out. I have never expereinced this before so it makes you feel very welcome. :))
Sorry for talking so much but it must be the excitement. :D I am off to sleep soon though. lots of roommates go out tonight, so I hope they come back very quiet. I know it's christmas, but I would prefer to get more than 4 hours sleep tonight. Let's see if I make it. I am planning to go for my Santa pictyure tomorrow so I need to be awake haha!
Talk to you tomorrow, it won't be long till I am asleep, hopefully :)
