Aaaaaaargh, first thing I thought when I opened my eyes this morning, Oh gosh, tonight's my flight! LOL. And as usual, when I have a million things to do before travelling, I haven't done much yet. I should go out and do some grocery shopping, but instead I made myself a coffee, write this blog and watch the internet a bit.
Strange idea that I won't see my bed in a long time. I am a bit nervous if I can sleep in those hostels, as I am not a hostel fan, but I bought something that helps you with falling asleep and with sleeping though the night, so I hope this helps. I am curious what a jetlag feels like although I am not sure if I want one...
Thursday I got my first amount of Australian dollars and this money is just too funny! It's colorful and made of plastic. 'so you can wash it with your clothes' according to the woman who helped me at the bank. Yes right, I made a picture of it because I don't think I take them home, those billets. ;)
Yesterday, one of my collegues in Rotterdam asked me what the first thing is that I want to do when I am with two legs on the Sydney ground. I told him that I hope to check out the Opera House, the bridge, the Sydney Tower and the botanical gardens on my first day. Now I am thinking, first thing I will do is changing clothes and getting a shower. Nobody moves till I have had my shower haha. Then I am ready to explore what I said before, and to check out the christmas spirit in Darling Harbour.
Speaking of Christmas, this is definately one of the weirdest Christmasses I ever had. I love decorating my house with a tree and lights and candles and feeling this cosy feeling when I snuggle up on the couch. But this year there's no tree and nothing to breath Christmas, except for the cards on my door. It's a weird feeling to be missing Christmas here, but I chose for it myself. Last year it was too strange, with my parents broken up and the family not in the right mood, which made me wanted to go away the next year. Now I am actually going away, and I feel weird...
Right, maybe I write one other blog before I have to leave home later, now it's time to do some shopping and make the house a less messy house. My mother takes care of my plants and mail,, so there's some work to do here. Oh wait, and very important, I have to pack a few spanish flags! I'll be at the Australian Open after all, so I need my flags with me at all times.
See ya later!
