Patagonia 4 Wheel drive
Phew, just returned from the 4x4 ride. Didn´t disappoint me...rode in a proper landrover with 2 other couples, and a very fit driver. points out of 10 ladies please! By the way that is my foot and shoe that are being tended to in the photos...my laces had come undone and our driver and guide looked after them and did them up. The other 2 ladies in our group were insanely jealous!!
We drove straight up and down a few times and very close to the edge but it was fun, form sea level to 1000m. Also learnt loads about the geology (which I have now forgotten) of the area and saw some amazing rock formations. The sandy stoney terraine was perfect for some alpines...Linda I have taken photos but they don't show up very well...need a better camera. Also saw lots of hares jumping about and some ibis birds.
This Patagonian Queen Hotel is my favourite so far. A small boutique one but I've just realised that we have a spa bath...guess where I'll be when this is finished.
This weekend is a festival of the naming of the lake (Lake Argentino) so, it means there's an all weekend free concert going on , loads of craft stalls and lots of campers...a bit like our pop festivals only it´s for all ages and free.
Good night to all, the spa bath calls...by the way, I´ve tested this bottom washer tap for strength...it holds the current record, it hits the ceiling and stupidly I was standing under it and it soaked my hair....don´t think I´ll be sitting on that!!!!
Waller, the answer to your comment is that I do find a glass or two of wine helps the keys to flow...absolutely not spelling mistakes....just vino typos!!! I¨ve been reading up on Argentinian wines and tasting them to see if the info is accurate
