Lindy What a life... retirement definitely suits you both. Well don't complain that you've put on weight with all the eating and drinking. I have no sympathy... just jealous. Looks like a lovely peaceful place. Watched a film recently called The Way, with Martin Sheen & Emilio Estevez. Its all about the Pilgrims Way. Hopefully you make it to Pete and Lia's Bar B Q on Saturday. Love your friend Lindy X

Lindy The Keppler Track looks amazing. Didnt have time to do this one. Leave that for another time ! Glad you stayed at Wanaka, another of our favourite places. Well congratulations both of you. Grandad & Grandma. Was Lewis born on my birthday - the 23rd. We were not quite sure due to the time difference. Terrible news about Christchurch. So many deaths & destruction. Is the airport ok ?

Alex CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU BOTH!!!!! Glad to have you on board the grandparents train, it's such good fun. I was well impressed to have a photo even though Rachel looked so tired bless her. You two just carry on having a good time. Things aren't so bad here, I get home in day light now and the sun has been shining with temperatures hitting 12 + some days. Busy weekend ahead with Grace here to sleep Saturday and lunch at the golf club on Sunday. I'll enjoy a glass of wine and we can walk home. Take care. Alex xxx

chrissy Hi both i got instructions from your mum - hope it works. i feel really sorry for you both! all that lovely scenery and freedom - i bet you really wish you were back here in the snow and wet (yes its been snowing in sheffield) Just slightly worried that you are over there when there has been an earthquake in christchurch - but you are probably fine. Lindy Hi Lynne & Damian So glad you climbed to the Muller Hut. This was one of my favourite hikes, albeit hard going. The views were breathtaking & I wished we could have stayed at the hut to watch the sunset & sunrise. On your walk to the Muller Hut, did you encounter snow. This is the walk where my legs were so stiff the next day, I had a job to climb out of the van ! Mount Cook Nat Park is devine, the best place in N.Z. I know where you were staying. We parked our van here before we set off for our various walks.

Geoff Hey Sis ..... well now there is envy and then there is serious envy! I have just checked out your set of Meuller Hut pictures and all pretty stunning and the place now has to go on my list. Please book me the same weather in about 5 years time! Anyhow I thought you were camping and yet every now and again this fantasy bus features in the pics. Presumably you and Damian only use that for transport and continue to enjoy the wee tent game?! All good here and still waiting for the big news from G&R ...... mind you I am still at the office at the moment and I may have missed the announcement! Take care and hi to Damian. Bruv xxx

Jackie What an amazing time you're having! Loved the lastest photos, especially the Meuller Hut walk ones. Mount Cook - wow! I bet that took your breath away. Life fine here - usual Jan/Feb blues. Alex So being married to an OAP has advantages then! Your travelling experience is sounding great. Can't call it a holiday, you're away for far too long. It's been like Spring here today and Granny & Granddad have been having fun in the park with Grace. We managed to get her pedaling her bike with soma assistance. Tomorrow is Alan's Dad's 80th so a big family lunch has been organised (by guess who??). It'll be great to catch up with some family members and let's hope that we all have a good time. Lindy Not read all of the latest yet but seen the photos of Charlotte Track. Brought back some lovely memories. We did not freedom walk like you too. We had our belongings moved each day for us to our lodges. Still did the walk though but not the lugging of the camping equipment ! Wish I was with you guys right now. Enjoy your van. Lindy Hi Lynne & Damian It looks like you are having a great time. I knew you would. I am reliving our time there. NZ is very special. Thats why we went back 3 times. Did you travel along the Coromandel. NZ people are friendly dont you think & very proud oif their country. Campsites were very good when we were there. Glad you have found a few. Of course you 2 have camped, we were too soft. Cant wait to read the next episode. Love to you both.
