What a life... retirement definitely suits you both.
Well don't complain that you've put on weight with all the eating and drinking. I have no sympathy... just jealous.
Looks like a lovely peaceful place.
Watched a film recently called The Way, with Martin Sheen & Emilio Estevez. Its all about the Pilgrims Way.
Hopefully you make it to Pete and Lia's Bar B Q on Saturday. Love your friend Lindy X

Well Lynne you did well with the blog once again.
I cannot believe that you and Damian took the money !!!
It could only happen to you two. What was the flight like on the way back. Did you get good seats or are you both still in NY...
Alex
CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU BOTH!!!!! Glad to have you on board the grandparents train, it's such good fun. I was well impressed to have a photo even though Rachel looked so tired bless her.
You two just carry on having a good time. Things aren't so bad here, I get home in day light now and the sun has been shining with temperatures hitting 12 + some days.
Busy weekend ahead with Grace here to sleep Saturday and lunch at the golf club on Sunday. I'll enjoy a glass of wine and we can walk home. Take care. Alex xxx

Hi both i got instructions from your mum - hope it works. i feel really sorry for you both! all that lovely scenery and freedom - i bet you really wish you were back here in the snow and wet (yes its been snowing in sheffield) Just slightly worried that you are over there when there has been an earthquake in christchurch - but you are probably fine. It sounds quite bad actually. Hope you are still both fit and enjoying yourselves. See you when you get back? Hope you get baby news soon. love chrissy XX

Hey Sis ..... well now there is envy and then there is serious envy! I have just checked out your set of Meuller Hut pictures and all pretty stunning and the place now has to go on my list. Please book me the same weather in about 5 years time! Anyhow I thought you were camping and yet every now and again this fantasy bus features in the pics. Presumably you and Damian only use that for transport and continue to enjoy the wee tent game?! All good here and still waiting for the big news from G&R ...... mind you I am still at the office at the moment and I may have missed the announcement! Take care and hi to Damian. Bruv xxx

What an amazing time you're having! Loved the lastest photos, especially the Meuller Hut walk ones. Mount Cook - wow! I bet that took your breath away.
Life fine here - usual Jan/Feb blues. Roll on summer. What we need is news of a baby to cheer us up. When is this great niece/nephew of mine arriving.
Keep on enjoying!

So being married to an OAP has advantages then! Your travelling experience is sounding great. Can't call it a holiday, you're away for far too long.
It's been like Spring here today and Granny & Granddad have been having fun in the park with Grace. We managed to get her pedaling her bike with soma assistance.
Tomorrow is Alan's Dad's 80th so a big family lunch has been organised (by guess who??). It'll be great to catch up with some family members and let's hope that we all have a good time.
Carry on enjoying yourselves!!!! Lots of love Alex xx

Hello. It's Sunday afternoon and I thought that I would just touch base with you. I couldn't see my last message to you but now I know why - I forgot to do my sums!!
It's blowing a gale here but the sun is trying to come out. I really wanted to tell you about my other dear friend called Lynn because by the time you get back I may forget to tell you; not that I shall forget her. She died suddenly and the funeral was on Friday; all so very sad. I shall tell you more on your return.
Happy news is that Ness is now a Grandmother - a boy 9lb 5oz. that will make Rachael's eyes water!! All is well I'm pleased to say. Next baby due probably Monday or Tuesday!
Michelle has had her scan and all is well, baby due 7 August.
Love hearing what you are up to, just wish I could be there too!
Lots of love xx

Looks amazing and so glad you're having a great time. Have borrowed a map from Jenny to follow your journey. Your Mum is much better - more or less back to normal, but don't you worry about the carers - we're coping! In the middle of having the bathroom done, so life is busy. Love to you both and keep up the hard work of enjoying yourself!
