An early start to the day as our tour bus to universal studios was picking us up at 8.15. While waiting we met a couple from Melbourne and a homeless lady. A bit over an hour later we arrived at universal. Amazing. We headed straight to transformers ride as it is new and there is so much hype about it. It did not disappoint, I was scared and the boys loved it the technology was amazing. We then went exploring as it is absolutely huge and yet another hot day. After a few rides we went on the studio tour including king kong 3d I had been waiting for. The highlight of the day for me going around special effects stages and backlots where they reinacted scenes from movies. Tour included bates hotel from psycho and earthquake from bones and csi scenes. Being a tv and movie fan I loved every second. Mitch had his photo taken with the Simpsons and loved shopping in the kwiki Mart. Paul and Jacob went on the Jurassic park rides a couple of times and really enjoyed it. The park provided a great eatery section compared to Disneyland so the kids had a burger and pulled pork sandwich for lunch, Paul and I still couldn't handle eating in the heat. Tho I did come across a popcorn vender late in the day that flavours his popcorn. I decided on cheddar popcorn which was the best thing I have tried since we got here. The general opinion was that universal was better than disneyland and I tend to agree as they were better organised and have something for everyone. Attempting to have an early night as we have legoland tomorrow and if we come here again we wouldn't do theme parks day after day again. I have never walked so much or been this exhausted. Lesson learned today.....adding more band aids to blister covered feet doesn't help. I now have blisters on the bottom of my feet....joy
