Well the day didn't start too early. Late last night we went downstairs to the hotel bar to get a drink and ended up becoming friends with two guys from LA and orange county....and jack Daniels of course. We were quite the novelty in Dallas and they wanted to know all about Australia so it ended up being a late night. Once we had breakfast we loaded up the beast and starting heading towards Arkansas. Not a very exciting car ride so we decided to stop at a truck stop. Wow the truck stops are amazing. A huge shop with everything you can possibly think of with a McDonald's outlet and game room to assist the truckies. They all walk in with their 6 litre soda mugs and load up with soda and coffee. Plenty of sugar and anything else to keep them awake. While I was inside a guy was trying to sell Paul aftershave out of his boot....initial price quoted was $60 but kept dropping every time Paul said no, even got down to $25. With a supply of red bull, water and coffee( best coffee I have ever tried) we were back on the road. The were a million trucks and only a few cars on the road, great idea taking the truck route. After a couple of hrs we found another truck stop ....but I will call this one Mr fatty Mcfatty stop. Now I must admit I am enjoying not seeing so many men in overalls as we did in Texas but the clothing style of these truckies is quite a site. We walked into the stop and they had a big warmer filled with southern fried chicken....now let me say I did drool a bit and said to Paul I really wanted to try a piece.went to get some drinks and when I returned to the counter the truckie in front of me in line was wearing a muscle top and was sporting the biggest set of man back boobs I had ever seen, he was loading up on the chicken. I never did try that chicken.....back man boobs certainly decreases the appetite. He was one of the smaller of the male species in the shop. Back on the road again we kept going, only stopping at one other stop that clearly was aimed at more of a hillbilly clientele. With only a small bit of scary driving from Paul we arrived in little rock. It is a lot bigger here than what I thought but a nice little town. The hotel we are staying at is also accommodating the police force for what looks to be a conference. Now that leads on to one of the most important details of little rock. Black gorgeous men seem to be everywhere you look, am sporting a bit of whiplash from the constant turning and viewing. Am I being subtle....probably not but it is like being a kid in a candy store. After a long day we found a place that makes fresh sub sandwiches.....they were perfect as we are near getting to the point of near gagging when going past maccas, taco bell, burger joints. We went past a truck stop food joint called fat pigs food today....kinda says it all. Well a quite evening before an early start to drive to Nashville
