Today is our last day in Santa Monica as tomorrow we are off to Anaheim. We started another hot day by exploring the area and we must admit it is pretty awesome here. So many shops and restaurants right next to the beach. We went down to the end of the pier which is the official end of route 66. We then went to bubba gump shrimp for lunch. I had the forest gump feast which was amazing but would feed 4 people. Even paul's salad would feed a family. We now have worked out we only need to buy one meal for the family as the portions are huge. But the shrimp was fantastic so worth it.....and the lemonade was great. After lunch we had an quick break at the hotel before we headed to the pier for the kids to play at the arcade. For tea I had tacos from taco bell which are cheap and yummo. The kids had dogs on a stick.....they are getting addicted to corn dogs. Unfortunately while we ate at the park we had to view a homeless person eating out of a bin.....sad and not the best dinner time view. USA definitely has a lot of sad people roaming the streets. An early night planned ready to move on to Anaheim.
