Pictured: Kat enjoyed celebratory dinner at beachside restaurant in La Fosca on the costa brava. We walked 16.3 km (10.128 miles) today. It was hot at times but the views of the ocean were like Hawaii but 10 times better per Kat. We walked along the GR 92 trail which extends all the way to France. It was beautiful without any signage to interfere with view per jane (resulting in some confusion.) We arrived after getting lost between palamos and Los Fosca. We briefly ended up roaming across people's patios including a private party of middle aged spaniards smoking cigars, drinking beer, and eating paella. Robin briefly thought about ordering a cerveza because he didn't realize that we were crashing a private party. Kat saved the day by finding a faded, nearly invisible trail marker which lead us up a narrow stairway between homes. After ducking beneath several parking barriers, the trail signs grew weaker. The best part of the trip was the continual surprises around every corner. Every rocky point concealed another unique beach or cove. We arrived in La Fosca around 6:45 PM and immediately went for swim in Mediterranean -- much better than swimming in pool. Rode waves until 800 then onto dinner at beachside restaurant. Town appears to be vacation village popular with Spanish families.
Tonight's dinner included typical Spanish food: melon with ham, paella and crema Catalan for dessert. Delicious!
Tomorrow's walk will be shorter.
