Australia Zoo is the home of the crocodile hunter himself, the late Steve Irwin. It was a brilliant day out and well worth a visit. We started off watching a show in the "Crocoseum" which is a 5000 seater arena. They performed a snake show, bird show and brought out the deadly friendly crocodile. We have been to one or two wildlife centres and zoos already in Australia so we have seen most of the native animals, but yesterday we got to see a Tasmanian Devil (nothing like the cartoon so I don't know what Warner Bros are playing at there!!). Theres about 150 Dingoes that live on Fraser Island, but we never got to see any, but we did here, looking rather chilled out enjoying the sun. Other animals that were amazing to see were the Tigers and cubs, Elephants and Camels. The gift shop was an experience in itself. Look around you and imagine everything you see has a picture of Steve Irwin's face on...well thats what the gift shop was like!! We had planned to go here even before we got to Australia and were not disappointed.
