urrrrgh finally a spare moment!!

right, i know im rubbish at keeping this blog up to date but ive been russhed off my feet and theres not a chance in hell of me remembering what i did 2/3 weeks ago so im going to start this blog thingy again from last sat.

im also not on my own anymore another english girl called rachel has come, shes ok bit bossy, shes pretty lazy even lazier than me and a bit fat so she makes me look bit skinnier but i get on well with her and weve had some good laughs.

Sat 17th Day off and lie in til half 9 today whoop. then we had a swim and a bit sunbathe before showering and getting ourself ready for the Roma Races. Borrowed a really nice skirt off Debbie and wore my black strapless top then went to Gav's via the back route which is through a creek down a steep gully and off roading big style so was really strange all dressed up and roughing it in the truck. Got to the Races and parked in this massive field as far from the race course as u could get so we had a massive hike but made it in time for the last race. Apparently the Roma Races is all about the after party and not the horses!! Was really good fun though lots of pretty dresses and hats and hundreds of cowboys!!

Gav seemed to know everyone and i met a lot of people that day. Found the others eventually was really wierd seeing all the workers in shirt and tie after only ever seeing them in work clothes. The drinking then commenced!! i puked twice after only a few drinks only cos i had eaten nothing and had been drinking pineapple barcardi breezers yuk which are like acid. after water for an hour or two i was back on the champagne - much nicer and i survived the night!!

went back to the truck at bout 2 and we slept in the back of the pickup in Swags which are like thin mattresses which u put sheets on and a duvet in a thick waterproof sack type thingy, under the stars was pretty cool really.

Sunday - woke up at half 6 far too early for only having gone to bead at 2 but someones music was blaaring in a truck nearby grrr. got up and dressed and found a burger place and had the yummiest food ever. got back to Alongamor - Gav's house, dropped him off then came back to Yulabilla and slept for a few hours. then we got up watched some dvds and ate pizza for tea then went to bed.

Monday - today we blew up Gavins washing machine. we had only put in 2 loads and i was sweepoing out his utility room metres from it and there was a huge bang and the washing machine just started billowing smoke and there was a horrid burning smell the kind that stays in ur lungs for days. so i switched it off at the wall and ran through the smoke towards the slidy doors thinking they were open - dooof straight into the glass. got outside eventually, coughing and spluttering and then remembered that gav's brand new work shirts were in the machine so i was like aaaggh he'll go mad so i ran back in remembering to leave the doors slid open and grabbed the clothes which had burnt to a crisp ... only joking they were fine really.

tidied the rest of his house, kindof got rid of the manliness, rearranged his furniture a bit, mowed his lawn (including the bit that him and jake, when drunk wee on - to see if urine is better than rain water for making plants grow??!), cleaned his grotty kitchen, swept the verranda and the house was spotless felt good

Made mashed potato, mashed pumpkin, Cooked a Silverside and veg for the workers tea tonight was very stressfull as everything wasnt ready at the same time and we ran out of mash and pumpkin so for our tea we had a mountain of beef and about a spoonfull of veg. Stayed at Mt Pleasant as we couldt be bothered to drive back.

Tue - not much happened today reallly Gardened at Yulabilla all morning then drove to Mt Pleasnat to make the lunches and to do some gardening there. Strimmed all the edges of the barns etc then made tea for all the men. 15 to cook for tonight aargh.

Wed - Went to Undulla today to sweep the verandas vacuum out the house only we found one of those robot vacuums which uses sensers to bounce off the walls and finds the dirt by scanning the floor with lasers or something so saved us a job. went back to Mt Pleasnat to make the lunches - 60 buttered pieces of bread urrrgh!!! took them out to the paddocks and had a go driving the combine harvester did almost a full load but then Gav took over as last time i put the grain into the trailer wrong apparently! but the second he did the combine got stuck in a huge pile of mud! - wouldnt have happened if id drove i bet you!!

Came back to Yulabilla to get the Tea, had a swim, then went Kangaroo hunting!! muchos fun impossible to photograph though. Rob's sofa arrived so we unwrapped that for him and played in the bubble wrap for 20 mins then it was nearly knocking off time so we went for a drive to waste time and came back watched a dvd and then made tea for all the workers.

Thur - Went to the tip with all the bubble wrap and foam from rob's sofa then went back to Undulla to garden AGAIN! mad lunches AGAIN then came back to Yulabilla for a swim and a nap. PARTY tonight and BBQ all the workers are coming over!! cant wait.
