Our trip had almost come to an end and we had planned the day before a train tour of Cottonwood areas to finish our trip with a big bang! It was the 31st of May, 2008. A Saturday. The only thing we had planned was this 4hr. tour. It was so fun! There was a little boy who was 6 years old on our area of the train. At first he was shy but then he suddenly started talking to me and asking me questions and pointing at things with an excited attitude. To make a long story short, we ended up being real good buddies and we were pretending to be different animals and making up stories. We had a blast! This four hour trip seemed to go by in a few minutes once I opened myself up to the idea of being like a little kid again, despite my humanity telling me I was tired, or didn't want to talk to a little kid, or was too old or whatever stories I would make up! once I let that go, we had such fun together! I really got a sense of the joy of children yet again. It was, by far, the BEST ending to our incredible trip to the wild wild west! We flew back the next morning and got back to FL after THE MOST SPECTACULAR flight from Atlanta to Daytona on the 1st of June, 2008. It was fantastic.
