It was the 29th of May. We got up REALLY early to see a beautiful sunrise over the Canyons and soaked up every bit of it. On our way back to the hotel a few miles off, we saw two deer who were walking on the sidewalk as if nothing was abnormal. They are a bit different from FL deer... They are grey, very hairy, and kind of short. Our deers have a chestnut color with white bellies and cotton tails, and are very tall and jump over everything! Anyways, we went back to the hotel and I fell asleep until a few hours later when we "officially" got up and toured the Canyons by foot, and some by buss. We saw mules that were used for hiking the Canyons, and we saw the Colrado River running through the Canyons. Everything was so spectacular. I will post pictures of this inspiring day! We saw the sunset over the canyons too! That night we had gone to a look out house and then watched an interactive presentation on the edge of the Canyon about bats. That was so fun because the man doing the presentation was very enthusiastic about everything and got people envolved. Next we went back to our hotel and rested for a while.
