Hey all! This is a blog of the first day we spent (my dad and I), in Arizona! We flew into Atlanta, GA from Daytona, FL on May 24th, 2008, and then we flew shortly thereafter to Phoenix, AZ! When we arrived I thought that there was massive construction going on, hence the large amounts of dirt piles all around! When I asked my dad, he said "Those are mountains..." 0.o After getting used to the idea that Arizona had mountains, and it was COLD, we set sail for the rental car and then for Sedona. I stayed awake the whole time until about three minutes before ariving at our hotel in Sedona (crazy, right?) Then we started to look at attractions from our hotel room... I think it was almost sunset in Arizona by that time. We went to downtown Sedona and purchased a Mexican looking wool sweater for me because I had packed only a few jeans, no sweaters, and only a few long sleeve shirts. Everything else was for hiking (shorts, sport clothes, etc.) After that we bee-bopped around downtown that night and then went back to the hotel for some rest. Mind you, it was two or three before we went to bed, because of the three hour time change. This was only the first day of excitement after ariving in Arizona! Check in for the next day's adventures!
