Scott emailed and asked if I wanted to go out for beers after work with some co-workers. I wasn't feeling it, but I told him to go ahead. He was back at the hotel by 6 and we took a taxi to the Main Market Square in search of hamburgers. We ended up at Hard Rock Cafe. It was pretty good. We decided to walk back to the hotel through the Jewish district. The Jewish district is full of little cafes and shops and is a very cute area. We walked around Wawel castle and some other cathedrals. I took some photos. We rounded a corner near the castle and we passed a guy dressed in a full green body stocking. If you've seen It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia you might be familiar with Charlie Kelly's green man costume. That's what we saw. Was not expecting that at all.
The weird thing about Krakow is that you can be walking through really safe and pleasant neighborhoods, but there is graffiti and barred windows everywhere. It was strange. We took the pedestrian bridge over the Visla River and walked back to the hotel. I am officially sick of BBC International. Other than CNBC International, it's the only English speaking tv station the hotel gets. I spent a lot of time watching Arrested Development and Sunny in Philadelphia on my laptop while trying to fall asleep at night. Still didn't fall asleep until around 4 AM.
