What initially started as a trip that would span several countries has turned into mostly staying in France with a short stint in The Netherlands. THe majority of the trip has been booked and its scheduled for July. Three weeks of travel. The itinerary is set:
Fly into Amsterdam
1 night in The Hague so I can finally visit the Mauristhaus and see The Girl with the Pearl Earring.
2 nights in Strasbourg, or as I will know it - jet-lag central.
2 nights in Amboise.
3 nights in Sarlat.
4 nights in L'isle sur la Sorgue.
5 nights in Antibes.
4 nights in Annecy.
Hoof it to Strasbourg to drop off the rental and grab the train.
Overnight at Amsterdam airport for flight out the next morning.
We're moving a lot but don't have much on the agenda aside from visiting some Chateau's in the Loire Valley, heading into the Alps again and being on the Mediterranean for Bastille Day. We're renting apartments in most cities/towns because it's so much cheaper than hotels and we can make our own food if we so choose. Being able to wash our clothes is also a plus. I'm pretty excited.
And we're flirting with the idea of moving to Krakow, Poland for a year. But that is in the very early stages of discussion. I don't know what the hell I'd do since I doubt I can be a therapist there, but those are small logistical hurdles. Scott would be able to just work from the Krakow office for the year.
