Scott is heading back to Krakow, Poland for a couple weeks in December. He has to go there for work and I must say I don't particularly envy him. I'm glad I got to go there and see the area, but I don't have enough distance from the horrible return journey to want to make that again.
We are however heading back to Paris for 9 days in June. This time we're taking my sister. We've already rented a beautiful apartment back in Saint-Germain-des-Pres. The apartment is fully equiped with lovely views of the Abbey Saint-Germaine-des-Pres across the street. I'm both excited and anxious about the apartment. I fear that too many things could go wrong, yet I'm stoked about the idea of having a full kitchen, laundry and other lovely essentials. I don't know if this link will crap out...but this is the apartment we've rented.

I'm a bit envious of my sister because she's never been to Paris and she'll get to experience the warm fuzzies that I experienced on our first trip. I fear that this trip will be museum heavy. Tanya wants to hit all of the big art museums. I want to hit the Montmarte area. And we are planning on travelling to Versaille and Giverny. Giverny is where Monet lived when he painted a lot of his stuff. The gardens are still intact and maintained.
I think Scott's only goal is to not eat a panini and to hang out on the deck and drink wine.
So that's that. We have several months before the trip but I couldn't sleep and wanted to write a little about it. I need to brush up on my French before we go. We haven't purchased plane tickets yet (please don't let CVG nix the direct flight to Paris), but the apartment is a go.
Truth be told I don't know if I'm more excited about the impending trip in June, or the fact that year 1 of grad school will be in the bag by the time we go. Juggling class, field placement and my regular job is getting old really fast.
