It's going to take a little getting use to this sharing a room thing again but overall I had a half decent sleep and I am really liking this hostel. I got up in the morning did my exercises then went for a wonder around the city. There was another Independence Day parade happening here so the streets were jam packed with people. I walked around checking out lots of hostels, hostals, hospedajes and hotels - seeing if I could get a decent price for a month long stay. I then checked out the local market which was small but had everything I would need and so brought a few fruits and vegetables. I checked out the various breaks along the beach from where the beginners learn to where the pros surf, there are 3 different breaks and all within 5 minutes walk of one another. The hostel where I am staying will do me a really good price on a bed in the dorm if I stay for the month so at the moment I am thinking I might just stay put in the hostel. The rest of the day I walked around the town making myself familiar with the area, shops etc and testing out what it would be like to live here. I asked about buying a surfboard and wetsuit at a few places and found a local guy that is going to drop round in the morning with some boards to show me. The hostel was pretty quiet in the evening which was nice and I had a kitchen to cook in for the first time so I made the most of it.
