Today I was up bright and early again and with no wind and barely a cloud in the sky we were going to be in for a very hot day. As soon as the guests had all left I took to cleaning the rooms and re-stocking all the supplies. We had new guests coming at 1pm so I had to also prepare the third bungalow. As my time on Easter Island comes to an end I feel excited for my new and upcoming adventures and not sad at all at having to move on. The work has been ok and staying with a family has been a nice change from my usual travel routine - I will possibly look for more opportunities to volunteer when heading to the south of Chile and Argentina. I then had to varnish all the eves which also proved a bit of a workout with the sun beating down. At about 2:30pm Tiare served up another one of her tremendous creations: Chicken breast stuffed with boiled egg, vegetables and covered in sautéed tomato alongside vegetable ratatouille - once again an absolute delight to the senses. I have had stomach pains everyday since arriving here and I haven't been able to work out if it is from the ginormous lunches, abundance of meat, cooking oil being used, eating lunch so late or from the water but I am hoping with my return to Santiago it will settle. In the late afternoon I think Peter wanted me to do more work but thankfully he never directly asked me; as I have been doing more and more work then we agreed upon. After an afternoon nap I went for a walk into town to watch the locals surfing in the bay one last time. I wish I could have borrowed a board and gone out for a wave myself but the local shops are charging over $50 to rent a board for the day. This island is certainly exclusively and to visit it you will be excessive amounts for everything but people should definitely still come but just be aware of the jacked prices. In the evening myself, Peter and Tiare sat down for another good film starting Will Ferrel called "Everything Must Go": a serious role for Will Ferrell but a good film none the less. Two more days on the island and then the adventure continues.
