MY LAST WEEK IN COOGEE
Hi all,
So I'm still behind on my journal - so much to do and so little time. My last week in Coogee was a hectic one, bokking my trip up the East Coast and trying to decide how long to stay in each place, what activities to do. I ended up changing it about a million times before I was finally happy. I spent the week on the beach and trying to organise everything for my next adventure in between sunbathing. We had a bbq and went out for dinner a couple of times. On the night before my last the girls went out for a Thai meal which was lovely, and then the boys came and finished our left overs, well waste not want not. We then had a few drinks back at the hostel and took the opportunity to get our last group pictures, as usual there were poeple missing, oyu just can't get everyone there at the same time.
On my last day I had to go up to the fracture clinic in Randwick to check that everything was ok with my leg and to return the twins (my crutches). After waiting 2 hours, the doctor had a quick look asked me how long ago I had done it and said everything would be fine and i can do any activity I wanted, so that's a yes to skydiving, more surfing and some white water rafting.....think I might give the bungee jump a miss though since the elastic goes around my ankle! The doc said he would give the twins a good home so off I went - no more hospital visits - yippee!
The rest of the day was spent signing people's books (like when oyu leave school) and swapping e-mail addresses. Most people left that day so there were alot of goodbye's and see you soon's since they were mostly all going to Byron Bay too. We then decided to go for our last drink in the CBH and get our last domino's pizza - which we get cheap cos we live in the Wizard!
After one last mug of goon in the hostel it was time to leave, everyone came out onto the porch to see us off, the girls cried, I cried, it was very emotional, like leaving home again since we have all become really good friends. It was sad to leave everyone and to leave Coogee, I absolutely loved it there, so much so I am going back for one last day and night before I leave Oz, so i will see most of the Wizard gang again as some are staying for a couple more months.
The taxi arrived and we left to what became the Wizard theme tune - 'the ring of fire'. See you all soon, especially you Cathryn - hope you're still enjoying Coogee........just a 12 hour coach journey to endure now, next stop Byron Bay................
Lots of love
