Heading off to Lake Grace to do our site familiarisation and training for our grain harvest job. They have these onsite huts to accommodate us, which were great but it was so cold again. Austrailias coldest winter in over 30 years, typical i am here when it's the coldest. But was told it should warm up very quickly, praise the lord. Training was boring, as per, due to all the health and safety buls*** they are telling us, which is all common sense. The job however, does look interesting and much better than picking fruit. Although we do have to look for some other farm work whilst we wait for the grain harvest to be ready, which will be around end of October/November. So we decided to head down to Margaret River to see what farm work is around for approximately 3/4 weeks. To keep busy and to stop us spending. That planned failed miserably due to the weather. No work and nothing to do. I kept on telling the other two, lets just fly to Bali or somewhere hot, they laughed. They both were thinking it was going to cost too much. But no, the price of a hostel per night in Australia is $30, in Bali $8. Food is much cheaper and it's warm. And so I booked the flights, one way, might end up staying there for 2-3 weeks. Can't wait!
