And so we set off on our road trip up the West Coast to Geraldton to chase the heat. Didn't leave in good enough time to get to a camp site before it got dark. Best option was to continue for a little longer and find a camp site as we were going to have to set up the tent in the dark anyways. Ended up eating first and setting the tent up at 10pm which was fun. Luckily enough the tent was brand new and was an easy set up one. We were all so cold and the temperature reached to around 7 degrees at night. I had many many layers on and was still cold. All I wanted was my double memory foam bed and pillow. $10 each to pitch up tent, robbing hood is still around these neck of the woods! The manager of the camp park talked for England, she went on and on, my ears were ringing...all I wanted wanted to do was put the tent up. Next morning, we packed down and went for a walk to this pristine white beach, but didn't stay long as we wanted to head north first and visit everything on our way back.
The long drives are as boring as it can get. Straight, bushes, trees and sand! No one else on the road with you, other than a few dead kangaroos on the side of the road. We play our tunes to pass the time away, and me and Kyle take it in turns to drive. The most stressful bit is organising your day and having to eat. I so wish there was a pill we could take and not have to eat, wastes so much of my time.
