In Fremantle, which is just south of Perth. Very nice place, lots more to do here than Perth and seems to be more of a younger persons scene. We checked into this hostel that's a converted prison. Really cool place, but the only reason we chose this place was because it had parking (Fact: Perth has the most expensive parking in the world). We dropped our bags off and went to the Sunday Fremantle markets, which is one of the things to do here. The markets were so good but pricey, I wanted the Paella but you only got a little tub, sod that. And so we carried on walking, exploring the town, we bumped into this Welsh guy we met a few weeks ago and he asked if we wanted free beers from his hostel...not going to decline that. Sneaked into this hostel to receive our wrist bands. We then jumped on to a shuttle bus, supplied by the hostel. Then had $200 to spend on our beer tab, and the manager gave us pizza, chips, wedges....all for free! Drank the afternoon and night away by the harbor, all for completely free. What a great night and the shuttle bus drove us all home lol. We just couldn't believe what was happening, I thought someone would question who we was but no one did. We did a tour called "The great escape tour" at the Fremantle Prison next door. Interesting stories and facts about previous inmates. One weird guy called "Tan Man", had a cell to himself and never came out of his cell. Even had his food and water pushed through his door. All because he speared s*** all over his cell and on himself to keep everyone at bay...that's one way of doing it. Then in the afternoon we headed off to a brewery tour at Little Creatures for $12. It was much better tour than the one we did in Melbourne, actually got drunk off all the tasters.
Our last day before we fly we went to Kings Park in Perth which is only up the road from Fremantle. Such a good park which is located up on a hill. So high that you have this amazing view of the city whilst sitting there and sunbathing. Then we dropped off our car around this Aussie chicks house, who I met at my training in Lake Grace who kindly offered to look after our car whilst we was away in Bali. Saved us a bomb as airport parking was something like $400! Cheers babe!
