Perth is a ghost town compared to Melbourne. It's literally full of hill billies and not a great deal to do. Which suited me, Kyle and Danny. As we had to sort lots of things out, mainly buying a car to travel West Coast. For those who don't know Danny. Danny is Kyles best mate from UK and wanted to come with us when we went Asia but didn't have the money. However, he has been working hard all year and now come out to us in Australia to work and travel. And so our plan is to get our farm work out of the way, which should be done by Christmas. Then go over to East Coast and travel for few months...that's as far as I can plan.
We spent our days in Perth, on our phones, in a hostel, researching and looking at cars to buy. We found a white Subaru Impreza, which was perfect for us. Only cost $2640, divide that by 3, basically £400 each! Felt great buying a car and being able to drive again but I was unhappy when we all decided that the only option was to camp along the West Coast! I hate camping! But it was the only option as there wasn't an array of accommodation, never mind cheap hostels. The cheapest hostel I found was $35 a night each. And so we went to K Mart and bought all camping essentials for $80 each which was a bargain. When I parked the car in front of the hostel to load our belongings, I read online that there was free parking. This was untrue and so within an hour of receiving the car, we got a parking ticket for $60! Lesson learnt, always check where you can park.
