WOW what a ride, Im totally knackered after my 12hr plane ride from KL to Rome.
I havent seen much of Rome yet bar the autostrada (highway for those of you playing at home) we got straight onto the bus in pouring rain and went to a place called Monte Cassino - a beautiful monestary on top of this HUGE montain. Then onto Mt Vessuvius (I hope I am spelling this stuff right, sorry papa) OH and P.S. I am typing on an Italian keyboard which is totally different from the ones at home so I think Im doing ok.
From there we went to Casserta to see the Palazzo, very BIG and very pretty. My pics were crp so please feel free to google or go to wiki for any of these locations because I cant do them any justice.
I cracked up laughing at the pic attched, we went past this location on the autostrada to Salerno. I must be honest and say I cant take credit for this pic because the bus went past it at 100 miles an hr but I googled it to show you because the skeptics among you may not have believed me - Burger King POMPEI (priceless)
We arrived battered and bruised to the beachside town called Salerno, we are here for 3 more nights so we can settle in a bit. Its lovely here. Right now its super quiet (which I am loving) because its 5am.
Tomorrow we are off to the Amalfi Coast, we are going by boat which is meant to be the best way. We leave in three hours so Id better be off and get a bit more sleep.
