Ciao tutti!

Benvenuto in Tuscana! Welcome to Tuscany! We arrived safely in FLorence, a bit disorientated, and of course tired. From Zurich, we flew over the Swiss Alps, and then the Italian Alps, it was awesome....

We landed in Firenze, breezed through Customs.. The taxi driver was very friendly. At the Hotel Kraft, we organized tickets for a bus tour on a very red hot double decker to visit the city of Florence and also reserved tickets to visit the Uffizzi, which is one of the most important museum of Florence pertaining to the Renaissance period.

After breakfast, we rested in our room for a few hours, then we walked to the very famous Ponte Vecchio where we saw more gold and jewellery then we ever dreamed of seing: too much of a good thing.....

Si, si, yes it's very hot in Florence. Walking back to our Hotel, we visited a few shops, bought vino & pastries and checked a few places to eat lunch, buy fresh fruits... etc.

We had a lovely supper on the terrasse of our Hotel and from our table, we saw all the wonderfully old preserved buildings, the roof of the Duomo, with the church bells ringing every hour (a little early at times, because they are so old...) With the half moon, the lone evening star and the warm breeze, it was very enchanthing....
