Last night we were kept awake by the loudest snorer on earth, he was so loud that it resembled a rattly old army tank driving through our camp!
Today we trekked 7km through Winjanah National Park, we saw heaps of wild crocodiles (so cute), startled a skinny Goanna and saw lots of striped angel fish. It was a really nice walk but extremely hot (only 9.30am).
We finished up the last leg of the GRR and were grateful to be back on bitumen.
The Gibb River Road has been very exhausting and we would certainly do things different if we did it again (like fly over!), but we have seen some amazing sites in the Kimberleys and our trip was packed with adventure!
We arrived at Broome dirty and tired and enjoyed a burger at the wharf.
The Derby wharf is famous for it's extreme high & low tides. The tide rises over 11meters, so I took before and after shots as was amazed at the difference!
Staying in the Derby caravan park tonight and looking forward to traveling to Broome tomorrow!
Highlight today: seeing crocodiles in the wild and getting up close to them (fresh water only).
