Visited scenic world and went across on the skyway, the glass went clear as we crossed so we could see Katoomba Falls below us.
Next we went to Echo Point and saw the three sisters, decided to hike down the Giant Staircase (900steep steps down to the valley) and walked 6km across the valley floor to the old coal train (this is the worlds steepest railway and tourists can ride in it down the cliff face). We did this twice and then took a cablecar ride.
Left Katoomba and went through Blackheath on to Oberon. Free camping next to icy cold stream apparently full of trout, rigged a shower off a gum tree and built a nice hot fire (freezing cold -12degrees)
Went trout fishing in the evening, they jumped around us as we fished but obviously didn't like our bait (worms).
Highlight today: Staircase/Valley walk (Federal Pass).
