Packed up camp and headed into town to meet up with Delzy and say goodbye. We visited her work (works for the local newspaper)and then went back to her place for lunch.
Sadly we said our goodbyes and took to the road heading to Parkes.
Passed through Manildra which has a massive flour mill- very impressive!!
At Parkes we are staying at the showgrounds surrounded by stables, cattleyards and a racetrack (quite interesting really, and good amenities).
We took a drive out to Ootha and visited 'Utes in a paddock' which was started in 2008 and is a bunch of artists who use Holden utes as their canvas and sculpt them into works if art (approximately 15 utes).
The inspiration for this came from the Cadillacs on Route 66 in America-It was worth the drive!
Highlight today: 'Utes in a paddock' because it was so unusual!
