Well it's another weekly instalment of our crazy adventure. This week was that extra bit special for 2 reasons, one being the start of the World Cup and the second that the summer has finally arrived!! It has been a scorcher of a week and the weekend was even better. Any way enough of the whether forecast and let's crack on! WEDNESDAY: Nothing really interesting happened, it was a normal working day (for Jason at least!) but in the evening we went to the cinema to see the final instalment of the X Men trilogy. Thought we better add it in as this is a journal after all. Very good film, few surprises that you wouldn't have expected but Dan didn't think it was as good as the other two. Anyway what this journal is really about..........the weekend!!! FRIDAY: Not much happened on the Friday obviously it was the start of the World Cup but apart from that it was a pretty chilled evening. JB stayed in as he had football on the Saturday morning and watched TV. Dan went round Matt and Helen's. (By the way Matt is looking more and more like a porn star everyday, with the shades, the hair and the tight vests! Yes I'm sure you can picture it! We will have to get a photo of him looking at his best so you can see for yourselves!) Anyway we sat around just chilling, eating and drinking! (Dan obviously doesn't not what a 'social drink' is and insisted on getting drunk. SATURDAY: Before the very important game at 2.00pm JB played football against the French (well actually he played for the French against Bearsted and scored - traitor!! Dan went in town with the porn star to buy some holiday clothes (only 3 weeks to go!!) Then the time came when a nation is united as one to defeat all in its way... the England match against Paraguay. You would know this obviously as you celebrated in true British style beering it up in a pub! (Yes we both got the texts!) Anyway we all went round the Batt's to watch the game. There was Ma and Pa Batt, JB, Mr Ta La Long (Matt), Phil, Steve, Gav, Nicola, Willis, Dan, Rinny and a late arrival from Mel. I think everyone can agree that yes we won but the game itself was a bit of a disappointment. We then chilled in the garden for a couple of hours to make the most of the sun. In the evening the boys were back in town when JB, Matt, Steve and Dan hit the town it was surprisingly quieter than usual considering being the England game (not that we were complaining). We started in Society Rooms as you do for a couple of pre drinks then headed to the Source bar (that's right no Strawberry Moons! There is a god after all!) Anyway it was a good night and we were all rather drunk. We were supposed to make an appearance at The River Bar where Stu was djing for Hed Kandi (not bad!) but we didn't get there in the end....as always the night was finished with a Subway. SUNDAY: With the hangovers in the heat it was not a good feeling in the morning (sorry afternoon). Dan yet again stayed at the Batt's, soon he will have his own drawer for his things and probably be in the next family portrait! Hopefully he isn't too much trouble. Anyway there was no roast this Sunday due to the heat (couldn't imagine anything more worse) so it was a bit of a light summer dinner salad, cold chicken etc... it was needed. PREVIEW OF NEXT WEEKEND: Yes the Foo Fighters gig has arrived!! Will JB and Dan bump into Dave Grohl again at a Burger King Service station and actually speak to him this time? Will the whether be as good as this weekend or will it be another RHCP whether incident? Will Matt actually become a Porn Star?
