A week long festival of the sea has been held at Brest, finishing today. The end of the festival was a parade of boats leaving today as we set of from Camaret. The weather is generally improving and the wind moderating. However today was a grey day with mist and light rain for most of the day. It cleared up to give a beautiful red sky. We sailed from st Evette through a benign Raz de Sein with lots of other boats making the same journey. We Have decided to leave from here for Falmouth tomorrow rathe than go to L'Aberwach first. The wind is reducing and going northerly on Friday so hopefully we can have more westerly win...

Today it was light winds and overcast with fog at times. We arrived at St Evette and took the dinghy ashore. Jim and I went to get some provisions and ended up walking non stop for 2 hours. The sun came out and the bay looks beautiful.

Sorry for the late posting but been out of wifi range We set off early from Ile de Groix for Lesconil. The wind was mostly on the nose and we had to pick our way past various rocks and islands on the way. The sea birds decided to provide an exhibition of their abilities all day, at one point there were about 100 gannets almost continuously diving for fish just in front of the boat. Today started with a dinghy trip to shore for an early morning shower. The toilets were the French stand up over a hole. The may have "we fee" but their plumbing leaves a lot to be desired! Whilst on this topic, many conventional toilets do not have toilet seats in French marinas. I am reliably informed this applies to the ladies as well as the men's. Enough of this toilet analysis.
