Javelin's Brittany trip
Sorry for the late posting but been out of wifi range We set off early from Ile de Groix for Lesconil. The wind was mostly on the nose and we had to pick our way past various rocks and islands on the way. The sea birds decided to provide an exhibition of their abilities all day, at one point there were about 100 gannets almost continuously diving for fish just in front of the boat. We also saw puffins which are very different from the ones in the UK. Last night Clare joined us in Lesconil which is an old fishing port just converted into a marina 1 month ago. The sea food was delicious. We sat on the mud in the night and made a prompt get away in the morning before the tide dropped too far.
