Today started with a dinghy trip to shore for an early morning shower. The toilets were the French stand up over a hole. The may have "we fee" but their plumbing leaves a lot to be desired! Whilst on this topic, many conventional toilets do not have toilet seats in French marinas. I am reliably informed this applies to the ladies as well as the men's. Enough of this toilet analysis. We had a brief shower on the way to the shower but the sky cleared and the rest of the day has been sunny. We had a good sail to the Ile de Groix which is about the size of Alderney. It has a very similar pace of life. We walked up to the village at the top of the hill, admiring the lovely flowers, agapanthus, fennel, hydrangea, buddhulia all in flower. Now enjoying Pre dinner pins. Tomorrow Clare joins us as we start to head back north and west. This area is certainly a beautiful cruising area and great to return to.
