The first word that came out of my mouth...oh my. These 6 feet dancers with long legs dancing together swinging their long limbed arms around. I wanted to cry. I have never seen a company that look like this. It was beautiful.

I was invited to the dress rehearsal and so felt like a VIP. I was in the audience with some friends whilst the director was calling out critique to the dancers and going through the different sections. I could literally imagine myself being up on that stage in the middle of the performance. It was mind blowing. The way they extended their back in their combray and arabesques. The emotion through out their bodies into their torsos were incredible. The music complemented their movement and made it interesting from the syncopation to the operatic music.

I could of watched Alonzo King Lines Ballet all day long, the fluidity of movement was original and breath taking. They portrayed different landscapes, scenarios and ideas which were clear and well thought of. I feel inspired as I am too long legged and 5 ft. 9 (no so much 6 foot but still tall), I now know where to go in my dancing and feel happy and thankful that I watched this performance today.
