Left rotorua this morning and made our way to mount maunganui. We had been before and really liked it, and we were thinking of it as a place to stay but cos of the big container ship that has got stuck we had heard that it was kind of ruined with the oil on the beaches. So we decided to go back and have a look to see what it was like! And there was nothing diffent at all, we still loved it as much! There was a bit of the beach further down that was shut off but it seemed ok and there're quite a lot of notices in windows for jobs so we'll maybe reconsider there! It just got a nice vibe about it, it's pretty busy during the summer and the beach is a bonus as well! Had lunch in one of the cafes along the front then made our way back to Hamilton. Had shower then dropped some stuff off that we didn't need as we were heading to Auckland for the weekend! Clare works for telecom and she managed to win free tickets to the bronze final tonight! She already had tickets so texted us to see if we wanted them! So we took her up on the offer which was fab! So we got to auckland and had a quick chippy while heading to the stadium. Chippy was ok, but if u get chips they pack them altogether. So like 3 bags of chips is in the one bag kinda thing, just a bit different from back home! got to stadium and it just didn't have a very good feeling, no one was excited and there wasn't too many people dressed up. It didn't really matter who won the game, both teams were going home anyway! Game was ok, nothing too exciting! Can't even remember the score but know Australia won! Didn't look as if either teams could really be bothered to be honest but was still good to go wawatch stayed and watched them get their medals then just headed back to camper!
