Dad We are back and caught up a bit on the jet lag. Weather is good so we put up the Christmas lights and change kathy's car to snow tires. We succeeded in sticking with Jaylene's open format vacation. So the only plan was the accommodations and access to the car. After that we woke up each day and headed out. This took some getting use to for Kathy and I, but once we caught on it was quiet enjoyable. Our blog may seam that we appear lost at all times, but his was by design, we always had a gps running so we could always find our way home. Just as Jaylene kept telling us things will work out. You would not believe how many times we would show up somewhere and ask how long until a tour would start and the response would be "the only english one for this morning starts in ten minutes". That would be after wondering about for hours, amazing. I would like to thank the support we received from family to make Jaylene's adventure possible. To my parents who looked after Tamara when the four of us where in Rome and during Amanda unplanned stop over in Iceland. The peroges are great. To amanda and Tamara for picking us up at the airport and having supper ready for us plus a clean home to return to. I would also like to thank those who commented on our blog we enjoyed sharing this experience with you. Thanks from all of us. Arrivederci, boun giorno , tschuss, au revoir, Ciao and even ciao-ciao.
re: Roma, ItalyAmanda I love days where absouletly nothing works out. It's funny how that doesn't always make for a bad day.
re: Antibes, FranceMom & Dad Finally got to read your blogs, can't view the photos?? Sounds like a great trip, ENJOY!!!!
re: Antibes, FranceAmanda Sounds like a crazy hospital. Do you have pictures of it? I'd like to see them.
re: Carcassonne, FranceAmanda I hope you managed to piece together a better meal than some of the pieced together meals we had.
re: Carcassonne, FranceRandy Steve...feel for you....been there, done that....Chris & Callie in Paris.
re: Barcelona, SpainAmanda I'm glad you guys got to see that church, it's my favorite. No more forgetting the camera. I want to see everything when you guys get back.
re: Barcelona, SpainAmanda Only europeans can be that disorganized. Having to find the landlord would never be allowed in America.
re: Barcelona, SpainAmanda I guess everyone always wants the biggest. I can't wait to see you shoes you bought. Love you all.
re: Barcelona, SpainChris Enjoying the blog but really miss seeing Steve's (Dad's) comments at the end of the entry. Enjoy!
re: Barcelona, SpainAmanda Yarema Hey!! Good to hear things are going great!! I am almost 100% sure George Lucas did model everything from there!!! I heard that a long time again and I can't remember where! Something about a lot of the buildings and surrounding areas being the models for the movie. TOO COOL!!! PLEASE be sure to take LOTS of pictues.
re: Barcelona, SpainAuntie Kathy Glad to hear you are keeping up with the blog. I'm sure that you will notice the difference in travelling with your parents. I hope you all enjoy the next few weeks. Please have a glass of wine for me. Love you Auntie Kathy
