We started this morning at 10am, a bad thing and a good thing. It is nice to just sleep in and relax. We were thinking of visiting La Sagrada Familia church but the line was way to long, since we had showed up later in the morning. So we decided to head towards the port. We walked around for a couple of hours and even sat on a dock; watching the fish swim just blow our feet. We thought of checking out the aquarium, the largest in Europe, but instead we chose to see more of the historical part of Barcelona.
We headed towards the Barcelona cathedral, stopping to window shop on the way. The cathedral was beautiful. Though we couldn't see much of the facade due to restoration the photos will speak for themselves when we put them up, since we could go on for hours about all the beautiful details of the church.
Next we headed to Le Parc Guell. We got on the metro to the nearest stop and some how ended up on the side of the hill that had escalators for most of the way up the hill (since the park was one of the view points to see). We made it to the summit in time to watch an amazing sunset. Then we processed to Gaudi's Park. Even with the dying light of the sun we could make out how beautiful the architecture was. Almost everything was covered in brigtly coloured mosaics. Gaudi's architecture reminds us of things from Star Wars (namely from the planet of Naboo for you nerds out there), George Lucas must have visited here.
We headed back attempting to find a restaurant. Unfortunatly, it is a holiday here and not much is open, so we picked up some items and made a pasta supper.
An amazing day.

Amanda Yarema Hey!! Good to hear things are going great!! I am almost 100% sure George Lucas did model everything from there!!! I heard that a long time again and I can't remember where! Something about a lot of the buildings and surrounding areas being the models for the movie. TOO COOL!!! PLEASE be sure to take LOTS of pictues.
