Day 6: This morning we drove down to the Mekong Delta, where we took a boat from My Tho across the Mekong river to Unicorn Island. We changed into smaller boats (sampans) and cruised up one of the canals. We visited a fruit orchard and sampled the interesting range of local produce, then moved on to enjoy a lunch with a very hospitable community. They even extended an invitation for us to have a hold of their pet python!! which I not so gracefully declined! Alan had a go of having the creature wrap itself all around him, I couldn't watch. We all had a terrific lunch!

Arrived back to Saigon around 4pm and enjoyed some free time, and off to find Lam Cafe for dinner tonight.

Tomorrow we leave for the airport at 4.45am so up early!! We're off to Dalat.
