Day 1 : After a long day travelling we finally arrived in Saigon around 5.30 pm (V time) The flight went well, but Alan lost his glasses on arrival, and after having the staff check the plane (glasses not found) we met our driver and arrived at the Palace Hotel around 7pm. We found ourselves in a very central location, even though we didn't think so at the time! The ride in the taxi seemed to take forever!! After settling into our room we went downstairs to the bar and patiently waited for Marion & Demetrius to arrive!! How weird it felt when they walked in!! So far from home! It was great to hear about what they had been up to and the sights they had seen.
